Melodic, sludgy doom on the quicker side of the whole doom thing with French origins, this is the most listenable stoner/doom release I’ve heard all year. Usually I pass on this sort of album as they are often tedious, but these four Parisians have delivered a tense, engaging, and darkly attractive disc. Sometimes calling to mind Pink Floyd, and at other times, the spartan, distortion of the the first Sabbath album, This album broods with emotional torment. This is what your bad mood sounds like. Embrace it and allow yourself to swim in the sound.
